Winter Challenge 2011/12
Last year’s Winter Fell League was a resounding success with many more people taking to the hills in all weathers to enjoy the Yorkshire countryside at its finest.
The following fixture list was compiled by Liz Boothman from Baildon runners and Jack Verity from Saltaire Striders,. Please get in touch for further information.
'Points are calculated so that your speed is compared with the average of the fastest three runners in your age category as before. This is made into a percentage then multiplied by 10 to give a maximum of 1000 -ish. However, if there are fewer than three runners in that category, you're compared with the first three of the category below.
Six races count towards the total with 500 bonus points for the perso who's run the most races.
Some races are Joers, which means they earn double points.
Runners from Baildon Runners, Saltaire Striders, Skyrac, Bradford & Airedale and Eccleshill are all eligible as part of the Airedale Athletic Partnership. There is an inter-club competition as well as the individual one.
