Structured training
We alternate between hill, fartlek [this is a Swedish word that translates as ‘speed play’] and speed sessions. In the summer months we also have ‘field sessions’ that are designed to improve your suppleness and agility by using equipment, such as hoops and low hurdles. These different sessions might sound quite serious stuff but please don’t be put off, everyone is very welcome. We will cater for all who want to improve their running.
Thursdays 7:00pm. Meet at Baildon Cricket & Rugby Sports Club, Jenny Lane, Baildon
Main club night meant as a social night with the emphasis on enjoying running in groups.
In summer we generally run off-road over the moors. We divide into different running groups according to ability. The separate groups regularly re-group to ensure that nobody is left behind.
In winter we keep to well-lit pavement routes. Again we divide run into groups according to ability and these groups regularly re-group to ensure that nobody is left behind.
Showering and changing facilities are available, free of charge, on Thursdays.
