But often the hardest part of all is knowing how to get started - and joining a running club can be a daunting prospect for many.
This is why we have set up a group aimed specifically at the complete beginner, those relatively new to running, and those who want to get back into running.
Why should I run?
Running is one of the least expensive and most effective ways to get and stay fit. It offers many benefits such as improved health, weight loss, increased energy and better sleep. After getting started and as your running fitness increases you may even be inspired and motivated to join one of the many popular mass participation charity runs such as the Cancer Research "Race For Life", the "Race For All" or perhaps even the London marathon!
If you already jog or run then you will realise the benefits of running with a group – it’s easier, more fun and a good way to make new friends.
Where and when will we meet?
We run in and around the newly restored Roberts Park in Baildon where we have a safe and traffic free environment including the park itself, canal towpath and scenic riverbank trail.
Sessions take place each Saturday mornings at 10am and last one hour.
Our meeting point is the free public car park just before Titus Salt school, Higher Coach Road, Baildon, BD17 5RH.
Why Us?
We are an established group led by fully qualified coaches. Come along and talk to those who’ve already seen the benefits of running with us. We have no upfront charges and allow you to run with no obligation to join until you are sure that we are right for you
Ready?
Just turn up for a no-obligation introductory session (or two or three...), or for further information please contact ian@baildonrunners.tk
